Consultation on the North Adelaide Football Club Lease Agreement Term has now closed. Thank you everyone who participated!
As a tenant of Prospect Oval/Payinthi yarta for more than 100 years, the North Adelaide Football Club (NAFC) is well regarded for its strong community presence and ongoing support of local sporting groups.
The current Lease Agreement is due to expire in 2031, however the NAFC has approached Council seeking a longer lease term to provide certainty and to support the Club’s growth and long‑term vision.
Under Section 202 of the Local Government Act 1999, Council is required to consult the community on any lease or licence over community land that exceeds five years.
What we’re consulting on
Council is seeking feedback on a proposed Lease and Licence Agreement term of 10 years plus two further 10 year options (30 years in total) with the North Adelaide Football Club. This Agreement is comprised of:
- A lease for year‑round exclusive use of the Pavilion at Prospect, the Gym (also referred to as the Fitness Pavilion) and NAFC administration offices.
- A licence for non-exclusive use of Prospect Oval, the grandstand and change rooms (located in the Prospect District Cricket Club clubrooms building) from 1 April – 30 September each year.
Existing community access to Prospect Oval will not change under this arrangement.
