Council is planning to upgrade the existing unisex public toilets at Charles Cane Reserve with a new unisex Exeloo modular toilet facility.
The upgrade will improve the location of the amenities, with greater visibility and provide modern, accessible, safe, and durable facilities for all users.
Exeloo toilets are prefabricated off site and installed relatively quickly, featuring automatic self-cleaning systems and designs that aim to reduce opportunities for vandalism and damage.
The new Exeloo will be installed in a more practical location within Charles Cane Reserve, enhancing safety and ease of use through high‑quality and accessible design and strong visibility. Once the new facility is completed, the existing public toilets currently located adjacent the club rooms near Devonport Terrace will be limited to use by the Eagles Lacrosse and BOSA Football Clubs.
What we’re consulting on
We’re seeking the community’s views on the following aspects of the planned Exeloo.
Location
Council has identified three potential locations for the new facility on the map below.

A summary of the advantages and disadvantages of each option may be viewed HERE.
Which option do you prefer?
Type and number of toilets within the Exeloo facility
It is proposed that the new Exeloo comprise three unisex toilets, consisting of one accessible and two standard toilet cubicles. This is the same configuration as the existing public toilets.
Do you agree with the proposed layout of the new facility?
