Council has taken a significant step closer to revitalising green spaces and enhancing community facilities as part of the Prospect Lifestyle Precinct Masterplan, voting to officially revoke the community land classification for specific underutilised parcels surrounding Prospect Oval.
At last night’s Council Meeting, Council formally resolved to proceed with the revocation. This final step follows official approval earlier this month from the Minister for Local Government, the Hon. Rhiannon Pearce MP, and marks the completion of a rigorous, multi-stage statutory process.
Mayor of City of Prospect Matt Larwood said changing the land status of these specific footprints represents a crucial shift away from long-term strategic planning and straight into actual project delivery.
