Council manages a wide range of buildings and transport assets on behalf of the community. These assets support everyday services and help keep our city safe, accessible, connected and functional.
The Draft Transport and Draft Building Asset Management Plans explain how Council plans to maintain our roads, footpaths and buildings over the next 10 years.
This consultation is an opportunity for you to help shape Council’s approach to service levels and future priorities for maintenance, renewal and upgrades.
The Draft Plans consider:
- The current condition and performance of assets
- How the community uses assets
- Expected service levels
- Maintenance, renewal and upgrade needs
- Asset risks and legislative requirements
- Long-term financial sustainability
- How available funding may be prioritised.
What we're asking you
Council is asking the community to review the Draft Building Asset Management Plan and Draft Transport Asset Management Plan and provide feedback on what matters most. In particular, we're keen to know:
- Whether these assets meet your needs
- What service levels are most important to you
- Where do you think maintenance, renewal or upgrades should be prioritised
- Whether there are any issues Council should be aware of
- How Council should balance service expectations with available funding.
Your feedback will help inform future planning, maintenance, renewal and investment decisions.
