Project Overview

Consultation on Council's 2024-2025 Draft Annual Business Plan and Budget is now closed.

Council is committed to achieving our shared long-term vision for our city and getting the best possible outcomes for our community.

This year’s Annual Business Plan and Budget isn’t just a financial plan; it’s a roadmap to a brighter future for Prospect. With a strong focus on responsible spending, investing in community needs, tackling infrastructure and sustainable practices, Council is focusing on matters that are important to you:

  • Balancing service needs with affordability, this year’s budget reflects an average residential rate rise of 4.15%, lower than Adelaide’s March 2024 CPI of 4.3%
  • Committing to a cooler and greener Prospect by planting more trees
  • Continuing the successful weekly food organics and green organics (FOGO) collection trial in Thursday's waste collection area
  • Supporting popular community events, includingProspect Spring Fair, Prospect Fringe and Twilight Sessions
  • Championing heritage preservation effortsthrough Council’s Heritage Survey
  • Planning for the future Prospect Lifestyle Precinct
  • Pursuing crucial infrastructure upgrades such as the Churchill Road Drainage Upgrade, Livingstone Avenue Upgrade and a new roundabout at the Galway/Rheims/Jellicoe intersection.
