    We are seeking expressions of interest (EOI) to join our upcoming Strategic Community Plan Focus Group.

    Council needs your help to build our new Strategic Community Plan. This document will define the future of our community for the next four to ten years.

    The aim of the focus groups is to meet with community representatives, discuss ideas and delve into the proposed areas of Council’s Strategic Community Plan. By doing so, we will create a truly collaborative Strategic Community Plan, continue dialogue and open discussions with our community on the future of City of Prospect.

    🗓️ Focus Group dates and times

    • Youth Focus Group (16-25) - Tuesday 18 July, 4:30pm - 6pm
    • General Residents Focus Group - Tuesday 18 July, 6:30pm - 8pm
    • Local Businesses Focus Group - Wednesday 19 July, 6pm - 7:30pm

    Our Communication and Engagement team will review all EOI submissions and select 5-7 people/businesses per focus group that collectively represent the demographic profile of our diverse city across each ward.

    Please only submit your EOI if you are available for the relevant session.

    Participants will receive $100 for their time and contribution. Light refreshments will also be served.

    • Name
    • Business name (if applicable)
    • Date of birth
    • Contact details
    • Dietary requirements

    Respondents will be notified via email by Wednesday 12 July on the outcome of their EOI.

The Strategic Community Plan will be Council’s key strategic planning document that sets out its vision and objectives for the next four to ten years, setting a desired future for the community, as well as the City of Prospect’s goals and priorities. 

Council is required by the Local Government Act 1999 to regularly review and renew its Strategic Plan/Community Plan within two years of each election cycle, setting the direction for Council activities.

The Strategic Community Plan is an important plan that has an impact on everyone. We would like to engage in multiple conversations with as many people in the community, so that we can identify the vision for what the future City could look like over the next four (4) to ten (10) years.

Community consultation will be conducted over three phases, as outlined in the 'Timeline'. When consultation is open, we will update the 'Latest News' section to inform everyone of the opportunities to particpate.

Your priorities, suggestions, concerns and comments will be provided to Council for their consideration and will help to refine the Strategic Community Plan towards completion.
